I love living in the Millburn/Short Hills community. As a homeowner in Millburn/Short Hills, I am fortunate enough to be able to enjoy the wealth of activities and opportunities made available by the township. Many new home owners are attracted to the opportunities for community bonding and fun that the Millburn/Short Hills area provides for its residents. An event that I am especially looking forward to is the recently announced township's July fourth activities. The Millburn/Short Hills Fourth of July Committee has presented the schedule of events residents can look forward to for Friday, July fourth.

The festivities will begin in Millburn's Taylor Park, where the flag raising and presentation of the prestigious Patriot Award will take place at 9:00 a.m. Subsequently, the annual Bike-Trike-Stroller Parade will commence at 9:30 a.m., to be followed immediately by the Baseball Skills Competition and a girls softball game at 10:00 a.m. From 11:00 a.m. to3:00 p.m., there will be family games, amusement rides, duck races, pony rides, and a Revolutionary War encampment for residents of Millburn/Short Hills to enjoy in Taylor Park. At 7:00 p.m. the gates will open at Millburn High School's Dr. Keith A. Neigel Field. Krazy Kat D.J. will provide music for community members to enjoy, and the fireworks will begin at 9:30 p.m. Tickets for the day's events are available for $8 in advance and $10 on July fourth. Tickets for attending the fireworks only are available for $5.00.
